PANCYPRIAN CHOIR ANNUAL SPRING CONCERT

The Pancyprian Association of America presents the Pancyprian Choir in their Annual Spring Concert, “Celebrating Father’s Day,” on Sunday, June 21st, 2015, at 4:00 PM, Terrace on the Park, 52-11 111th Street, Corona, NY 11368.  Buffet to follow.  Tickets: $50 per person.

Since 2014, The Pancyprian Choir has been under the new leadership of Conductor and Artistic Director, Mr. Phytos Stratis, who hails from Lemesos, Cyprus.  He is an awarded composer and actor and is the recipient of the Alexander Onassis Scholarship and the Paulette Goddard scholarship awarded by New York University. Under his direction, the choir has performed for The Greek Children’s Fund, celebrating International Children’s Day and UNICEF’S 68th Birthday, the 2014 Christmas Concert and the concert commemorating the 60th Anniversary of E.O.K.A, 1955-59: “Struggle For Freedom.”

The Pancyprian Choir is composed of volunteer members who aspire to become the voice of hope and freedom for Cyprus, hence becoming a valued member of the NYC artistic community.  Together with guest artists, Eleni Andreou, Areti Giovano and George Kontos,  they will perform songs by Cypriot composer and lyricist Marios Tokas, including, “H Diki Mou H Patrida,” “H Nikta Myrizei Yiasemi,” “Thimame Ena Patera,” and many more.
