ASTORIA, N.Y. – Maria L. Delgado, Assembly member Aravella Simotas and Cavo

Lounge hosted the Third Annual Pajama Party in Astoria at Cavo Lounge this

week. The party benefits the Pajama Program, a non profit organization

that provides warm pajamas and books for children in need.

“The Pajama Program provides children with the most simple and comforting

ritual of childhood- having a parent or loved one read to them to go to

sleep,” explained Simotas, who co-hosted the party for the second

time.

Simotas thanked Maria Delgado for her tireless efforts in organizing the event and

providing much needed help for children and families and Cavo lounge for

their generosity.

Organizer Maria Delgado praised the community’s efforts, “I'm so

grateful to all those who were present in support of my annual PJ Party and

for the children of the Pajama Program. This event is successful every

year due to the generosity of CAVO, Assembly member Simotas and most of all,

our community and friends. We were able to raise over $800.00 in donations

and over 400 new pairs of pajamas and books.

“The incredible kindness of Astorians never ceases to amaze me,” Simotas

said.
