ANNUAL SUMER FILM FESTIBAL

The Greek Cultural Center in Astoria, Queens invites you to its annual Summer Film Festival. The Film Festival opens, Friday July 29 and ends Sunday, September 4, 2011.This year we celebrate two legends of the Film industry. Beloved Greek actor/director Thanasis Veggos and Greek American actor/director/writer, and two-time Academy Award winner, Elia Kazan.

 

*July 29 - August 13 *the program focuses on Thanasis Veggos, all films are *in Greek,* and will be shown every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 6:00pm.


*August 14 -- September 3 *the program focuses on Elia Kazan, all films are* in English*, and will be shown every Saturday and Sunday at 6:00pm.


*September 4, Sunday* - the last day of the Festival -- at 6:00pm, the program focuses on Greek American Filmmakers.


All screenings take place at the Greek Cultural Center. *ADMISSION IS FREE.*
