Paul Vallone, the Democratic and Independence Party nominee for the 19thCity Council District, today received the endorsement of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo.

“The middle-class families in northeast Queens deserve a council member they can be proud of and one who can be counted on to represent their values, deliver their fair share and lead by example. In my mind, there is no question that Paul Vallone is the right man for the job,” said Governor Cuomo.
“I have known the Vallone family for decades and admire their contributions of public service to the City of New York. Paul can be trusted to carry on that legacy as the next council member from the 19thCity Council District. He has my full support.”

“I could not be more honored and proud to have the support of our governor, Andrew Cuomo," said Vallone. “From working to root out corruption in government to expanding economic opportunity to making New York a more affordable place to live, work and raise a family, Governor Cuomo has done wonders for our city and our state.”

“For months on end, the residents of northeast Queens have been deprived of a voice in City Hall and a council member who will work diligently to address the everyday quality of life issues they face,” Vallone continued.

“Enough is enough. Now is the time to restore honesty and integrity to our seat in the City Council and reclaim our local government so that it works effectively for all.”
