As Senator Michael Gianaris and Assemblywoman Aravella Simotas moved into new District Offices in the heart of Astoria, the Queens lawmakers announced that they will host an open house this summer to help
ease the transition for residents of western Queens who rely on their State
Legislators for everything from housing to immigration.

The new offices are located at 31-19 Newtown Avenue, conveniently located next to the
30thAvenue stop on the N and Q Subway lines.

“Though we have moved two stops on the subway, our dedication to serving the needs western Queens remains steadfast,” said Senator Gianaris.
“As always, my door will be open to the residents of Astoria, Long Island City, Sunnyside, Woodside, Ridgewood and Woodhaven. I look forward to seeing all of you at the open house later this summer.”

"I look forward to welcoming everyone to our new district office in the heart of Astoria,” said Assemblywoman Simotas. “I hope that our new location can help us to be even more engaged with the community and I encourage everyone to stay informed and connected with their local elected officials."

The district offices of Senator Gianaris and Assemblywoman Simotas have been in the same office building since Assemblywoman Simotas’ election in 2010. Senator Gianaris’ office will also continue to be the location of
Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney’s Queens satellite office.
