RENA DOUROU is a political scientist and, since May 2012, she has been a member of the Greek Parliament for SYRIZA (Coalition of the Radical Left), the opposition party in Greece. She is in charge of European policy issues and International Relations and participates in the Committee for Women’s Rights of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean Union. She has written extensively on issues of nationalism, democracy, women’s rights, and sustainability.
